2014
Alik opens the doors of Sam’s Air Control, working part-time on the business while working for other companies as a sub-contractor. Fun Fact: The business was named after his eldest son, Sam.
September 2015
Sam joins the team at just 14 years old to work beside his father, Alik. He initiates new service offerings, marketing strategies, and begins developing the Sam’s Air Control brand. Within a span of six months, the company evolves into a fully independent contractor. Over the next 4 years, they stay responsible for completing all tasks independently, with Alik primarily engaged in field activities and Sam handling responsibilities over the phone and computer.
January 2016-2018
Sam secures their first commercial contract valued at over $100,000. The company slightly expands, hiring a part-time employee, acquiring a second truck, and even building their first shop, albeit a 10×14 shed situated in their home backyard on Harvard Ave in Metuchen, NJ. The business maintains this scale throughout Sam’s high school years.
2019
Sam graduates from high school and although starts college, amidst the Covid lockdown, stays home and launches the first set of many future expansions: hiring the first full-time service and installation technicians, acquiring three additional trucks, and moving into a small one room office at 385 Main St in Metuchen, NJ.
2020-2022
Sam continues building the brand and the company begins to obtain recognition as a reputable contractor within the community. The business relocates to a more spacious office with a small warehouse at 913 Middlesex Ave in Metuchen, NJ. A large milestone occurs in 2021 where Igor joins the team, developing the first installation crew, marking the point where Alik withdraws from the field.
2024
On September 20, 2024, exactly ten years after Sam’s Air began, we celebrated the grand opening of our state-of-the-art building at 1217 US 1 in Edison, NJ. This milestone marked the culmination of an extensive renovation project, which included a complete overhaul of the facility and our infamous paint job, all while successfully relocating our entire operation. During this transformative period, the Sam’s family grew to almost thirty dedicated team members and expanded their fleet to over twenty vehicles. The iconic building can be seen by millions every month located in the heart of NJ – creating Sam’s Air Control’s everlasting footprint in the community.
